So, What Is NFC?
Near Field Communication (NFC) is the same tech that powers Apple Pay and Google Pay. With a simple tap near a chip, someone can be instantly directed to a digital link or action—whether it’s giving, registering, or filling out a form. When connected to a mobile-optimized giving platform, this can make generosity possible in just a few taps.
Why This Matters for Churches
Reducing the friction in connecting and giving is a key goal for ministry. NFC is one of the most straightforward ways to do just that.
One church that tried this approach saw incredible results:
53% of those who gave through NFC were giving for the first time
37% weren’t previously in the church’s database
